Happy Thanksgiving

~ Jackson, MS

Time of Reflection
Hello all and I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. I really do love the Thanksgiving holiday just because you really get to see all of your family members and relatives and it's a joyous occasion filled with plenty of laughter, excitement, and of course tasty food!! Thanksgiving is also a time to reflect upon all the things that we have been so blessed with. First of all, I just want to thank my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for saving me and for just allowing me to see his glory and blessings every single moment of the day. It is because of him and in him that I have all that I need. So, all the praises and glory goes to God foremost. I thank Jesus for blessing me with a loving family and I pray that one day when I have a family that my family would be just as loving. I'm thankful for my family relatives who have been there for me and supported me through all my endeavors and achievements. I will never forget their encouragements and help. I'm thankful for my friends. God is so good because all throughout my life I have prayed for motivated and faithful people to be placed in my life and God has definitely done according to my request. I don't think I could ever replaced nor will I ever try to replaced them with other people. That is how great they are and they mean alot to me. I'm so thankful for so many things and I pray that God will continue to keep me humble and content with his will. I know that I don't have an immediate job in meteorology just yet, but I do believe in my heart that God is creating the perfect opportunity for me. I just can't wait to relish his blessing! For my friends reading this post, thank you for your time just to take a minute out of your life to read one of my post. Even if you don't read all the forecast descriptions or you may just come to glimpse at it every so often, I still thank you for your support. I'm not always consistent with writing my blogs but everytime I do write, I always have you guys in mind and I pray that God will continue to bless all of you. I love to write and I'm glad you get to share in the Face of the Sky forecast. I asked that you will continue to check on me and once I do step into my meteorology career, I'll be sure to carry you guys with me as well throughout my journey. Lastly, I would like to thank my grandma and wish her a Happy Birthday. On Thanksgiving Day, we will also be celebrating her birthday. She is 71 and still having fun! My grandmother has always been there for me and whatever I needed whether it is money, food, or just a listening ear she is more than willing to provide. She doesn't have to do it but she welcomes the opportunity to share her love and support. Thank you grandma and I love you!

Thankgiving Forecast
For the most part of this blog, I realized I haven't provided any weather details at all.lol Anyhow, I still would like to give you all a short detailed forecast on the next couple of days and it will be a very interesting one. For those of you who will still be in Mississippi, expect a very warm and unseasonable day on Thanksgiving. This warm and very humid condition will be accompany by rain showers which is associated with a cold front. Look for low-hanging stratus clouds in the morning and into the afternoon hours. By then more clouds would have thicken up with the approaching of rain. Watch for rain to start to pour around the afternoon hours and into the evening hours. Scattered showers throughout the afternoon and becoming more widespread for most of Thursday night into Friday. Be sure to have your umbrella with you wherever you go. However, this will be the biggest weather change. The most drastic change will be experience Friday morning and the entire day. We will go from near 80 degrees on Thursday to the mid 50s as highs on Friday which will be a 25 to 30 decrease in temperature! Talk about your sudden change! So, temperatures will drop-off fairly quickly Thursday night as cold air advection begins to move into the South. For anybody attending a Black Friday sale event, be sure to have your umbrella and coat in handy as we will go from wearing shorts and sandals on Thursday to coats and gloves on Friday. Both Friday and Saturday night looks to be fairly cool as radiational cooling will take place. Mid to upper 50s are expected for highs both days. Well, thats a short detailed forecast and I'll back soon to keep you updated on this weird weather pattern. Happy Thanksgiving and God bless!
