Hi Everyone! I hope all is well with you guys! Well, it didn't get all that cold like I thought it would through the weekend. Now at nights were a different story but it actually seem pretty warm throughouts the days. We'll going to start this week out with plenty of showers making its way in by Sunday night and lasting throughout Monday. Its possible that we could up to a quarter and half inch of rain, so make sure to have your umbrellas on hand. Temperatures should rest at a nice 60s and dropping down to about 35 for Monday night. Skies should clear out by Tuesday leaving us with plenty of sunshine and nice calm breeze from the northwest. Temperatures should rise up to 57 degrees. So, if your planning on going back home Tuesday it should a nice day to do so. The lows will drop out at about 30 degrees. Wednesday will look just the same like Tuesday except maybe more clouds. The high should get up to around the mid 50s and the lows will stay in the mid to upper 30s. I will be back on Tuesday to have your Turkey Day forecast! God Bless!

Freeze is Coming!

Starkville-

Hi Everyone! It certainly has been cold these past couple days as our lows dipped all the way down to the thirties. We usually don't see these temperatures until the month of January. Well, these temperatures are sticking for while at least to the weekend. Tomorrow, is going to be fairly warm with some stray clouds here and there but mostly sunny with a high of 62. Your low will get dipped down to 29 degrees. Friday doesn't warm up at all as the high will only be 46 degrees. So, when your high is that low you know that lows is going to very low. Want to know exactly how LOW? How about 22 degrees for you. There will be some freeze advisories out in this area so be mindful of that. Stay warm and make sure to keep your pets warm as well. Take caution also on the road if your traveling mainly because of deers running trying to stay warm. You definitely want to bundle up for that night especially if your planning on attending any high school football games. By the way, I have to give a shout out to my old high school football team, Northwest Rankin High. This Friday, they play against South Panola which is the best team in the state. My prayers and cheers will definitely be with my Cougars as they prepared to pick up a huge and historic playoff victory. Go Cougars! For the weekend, clouds will return making for showers due on Sunday. Saturday will have a high of about 54 while its lows makes its way to 30. Sunday will be slightly warmer being around the upper 50s, but the big news will be the rain coming in by Sunday afternoon.

Chilly Lows

Starkville-
Hi Everyone! Hope you all are staying warm as these temperatures are really beginning to drop during the nights. Currently, we have a small portion of a cold front pushing its way through the southern region giving us cooler temps instead of its usual rain. Actually, we won't see any rain until later this weekend. On this lovely Tuesday afternoon, we saw temperatures soar to about 65 degrees with clear, blue skies to accompany it. With the absent of clouds though, we will see lows getting very cool tonight as our lows will peak around 32. This absence of cloud presence will enable most of the heat to escape from the surface therefore we will experience cooler temperature all day Tuesday. Highs for tomorrow will be around the mid to lower 50s throughout the state and drop to the HIGH 20s by tomorrow night. Also, when your making your way to school or work be sure to travel with caution as frost will make its appearance all throughout the week. Make sure to wrap up and stay warm all day with a heavy coat during the day and a blanket at night. By Wednesday, temperatures should be a tad bit warmer than the day before with highs around 54 with lows ending up in the lower 30s. Stay warm and God bless!

Cooler Temperatures

Hello Everyone! Sorry, about not writing for Tuesday or Thursday! Everything has just been so busy lately for me. As for as the temperatures, we certaintly are experiencing cooler weather on this Saturday as our high came up to only 52 degrees! Whooo Chilly! But thats not the best part! Our lows tonight will drop down to our lowest temperature around 31. If your out tonight make sure to bundle up. The reason for sudden drop in temperatures is due in part of a cold front that is pulling cold artic air into the southeast. So, we're not the only state that is feeling the effects of this cold front. Tomorrow, will just be a duplicate of today with winds out of the northwest at about 5-10 mph. The high will approach about the mid 50s and we will still cling to the lower 30s for tomorrow low. By Monday, a high should settle into our area making for a sunny day with highs near 60. Hope to see you back Monday! God bless!

Fall Showers

Good afternoon everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful and pleasant weekend! Throughout the weekend, temperatures have been very nice across the state of MS being around the mid 60's for both Saturday and today. As expected, clouds began to move out Friday evening making for beautiful blue skies this weekend with no showers in sight. So, if you had any plans outdoors throughout the weekend, I'm sure that it went very well with no showers or gusty winds to spoil your activity. Showers should be returning though with the development of clouds on Monday evening. For the rest of your Sunday evening, temperatures should begin to dip rather quickly as your low will be about 33 degrees. So, as you prepare to head to school or work you'll most likely see some frost on your vehicle so be mindful of that. Temperatures should warm up to a high of 65 or 66 of Monday afternoon with clouds developing throughout the day and a 20% chance of rain later that day. Monday night lows should be a lot warmer than the day before rising up 10 degrees. For Veterans day, there will be plenty of rain for everyone as Tuesday will be a wet one. Your high will still get close to the mid 60s. Well, continue enjoy the rest of the weekend and have a great Monday. God Bless!

Mild Manner

Hello everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed my first blog! I thought I did a good job considering that it was my first one ever. I planned on doing new blogs on every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Make sure to check out my blogs on those days to get your descriptive and accurate forecast. So far throughout the week the weather has been very nice and comfortable with temperatures mainly staying in the mid 70s for the Starkville area as well as across the state of Mississippi. Around this time of year you usually see people bringing out their nice sweaters but temperatures has really just been to warm keeping many people still in their shorts and t-shirts. The average lows has been around the mid to high 40s even reaching to the 50s by the middle of the week. As the weekend approaches, showers should make its way back into the forecast for Friday, brought by a small band of thunderstorm resulting from a cold front passing through the area. The rain should dissipate by nightfall and along it with our clouds, so we should see clear skies for Saturday. By Sunday afternoon clouds will reappear and a possibility of more rain showers for Monday. Have a great weekend everyone and God bless! Remember, the next blog is on Sunday.
