Currently
A beautiful Thursday to you all. Today is the perfect setting for what fall season is all about. Right now, we are under clear skies with temperatures in the lower 70s. It's very dry and windy with winds out of the north at 12mph. It doesn't get any better than this! It is so amazing how one night may be filled with booming thunderstorms and the next day is the complete opposite with a gorgeous day like today.

What's Happening Atmospherically
The cold front that swept through on late Tuesday and into Wednesday is moving slowly off to the east leaving behind drier and cooler conditions. We are actually around our normal temperatures for today with our fall high temperatures usually around the lower 70s and high 60s. Our lows for this time of year are usually in the upper 40s. This high ridge of high pressure that we are in the midst of will drive our weather forecast for today and will continue to have an impact throughout the weekend. The jet stream found at the 300mb levels have moved due north but we are still getting some strong upper level winds mixing to the lower levels. This high pressure will help to maintain a dry but windy weather pattern throughout the rest of the week. You can expect conditions to be quiet for the most part for the duration of the week. Out in the Atlantic, things are far from quiet as we have three low pressure systems out in the Atlantic Ocean now. All of these low pressure systems are still not very organized but they could possibly become active in the next day or two. One of them has a 60% percent chance of becoming a tropical depression depending upon upper-level winds and the amount of shear in the environment. I'll keep you updated concerning these of areas of disturbances.

Today
Highs today will only be in the lower 70s with clear conditions remaining throughout the day. Winds will stay around 10mph for the most part from the northwest. Get out there and enjoy the day if you can. You could walk the dog, hang out with friends, or just anything as long your enjoying the outside weather.

Tonight
In Starkville tonight, we're expecting lows to be in the lower 40s and maybe in the upper 30s. A clear night to watch the stars tonight, but be sure to have a coat if you do. Winds will be out of the northwest at 5mph.

Friday outlook
This weather pattern will continue for Friday allowing for some good high school football action to take place in. Enjoy the day and God bless!

Today: High of 86 with thunderstorms in the late afternoon. Some storms could be severe. Winds earlier on today from the southwest at 15 to 20mph. Gusting to 40mph at times.

Tonight: Thunderstorms and showers through the afternoon with a low of 64. Winds southwest at 5mph.

Currently
A good Tuesday afternoon to you all. A lovely day thus far as temperatures are in the mid 80's with cloudy conditions outside. With lots of clouds in the sky along with windy conditions, it makes for a rather pleasant but breezy day. However, this breezy condition is only a signifer of weather conditions ahead.

What's Happening Atmospherically
Currently, we have a tornado watch and a wind advisory out for a central region. If you have been outside at any moment, you know that it is very windy. Southwest winds will be between 15 to 20mph and even gusting at times to 30 or 40mph. This is due to an approaching cold front but as it begans to move farther east, we will see winds decrease and get lighter. The advisory will be in effect until 4pm. Usually wind advisories are issued when winds are greater than 35mph. A tornado watch has also been issued by the Storm Prediction Center and is in effect until 7pm. This watch includes most of the northern and central counties. We have a squall line which is going to drag through into the Southern region bringing excess rain, strong winds, and a possible tornado. I expect the severe weather to begin in the mid to later afternoon hours. With moist and unstable conditions developing ahead of this cold front, it really sets us up for a stormy afternoon. At 300mb, a strong jet stream is pushing through and so we will have strong upper level winds with a combination of WAA(warm air advection) at the 850mb level. All of these elements will combine for a strong to pass by. Your heavier rainfall will stay to the north of us with some seeing rainfall total between a quarter and even three quarters of an inch. This is much needed rain especially with this dry spell that has incurred over the fall season.

Today

A windy and breezy setup for the first part of the day. Thunderstorms should start to break out in the mid to late afternoon hours. If you traveling from work or school, be safe as conditions will be filled with heavy rain and strong winds. Also, be sure to stay updated with your local weather station for any severe breakout. Temperatures will soon start to drop very fast as the rain approaches. Expecting highs to stay only in the mid 80s with winds from the southwest at 15 to 20mph.

Tonight

Rain will continue throughout the night and into Wednesday morning. Temperatures hovering around mid 60s with overcast conditions. Winds will be lighter decreasing to about 5mph from the southwest.

Wednesday outlook
Look for rain to still be in our forecast in the early mornings of Wednesday. It might be a good idea to have the umbrella in hand as you head off for work or school. Weather conditions will begin to clear by Wednesday afternoon. By Thursday, our temperatures should be back to around normal for this time of month. This is it for your Face of the Sky forecast and God bless!

Resume Tape

~ Starkville, MS

Hi everyone and I hope everything is all well! I am doing well myself. Once again I would like to apoligize to everyone for not being consistent with weather updates. I have been so busy and I have recently just moved back home to Brandon, MS. I thought that it would be wise to live at home while searchng for my career job while saving money at the same time instead of paying for rent. Although I do miss my apartment life, it is always good to see the family on a daily basis. I always say that it's nice to them now because once I do get a job somewhere, I will not be able to see them that often now. This is especially if I get a job out of state and I am hundreds of miles away. My advice to you all is to take time to see family while you can.

Speaking of jobs, I am currently searching for one in faith. I know God will provide in due time and he will have ample opportunities for me. My first job offer was from Greenville, MS to be the weekend meteorologist as well as some reporting duties. I thought I had the job and I was actually going to interview with the news director when he emailed me stating that the job position was offered to another candidate. Despite the news, he did state that another position will be opening up soon. I am just happy that I got the opportunity and I know God has a place for me. I will definitely keep you all updated on my progress and on any news concerning a job in my profession.

Meanwhile, I would like to show you all my resume tape. It was completed in September and this is what news director looked at during the application process. You can find my resume tape at:

http://www.trailheadproductions.com/tvreels/clenoir.htm

I hope you like because this is the key to getting a job. Next week, I will begin updating you all concerning the weather. Weather could get interesting next week. I only asked if you all will continue to stay in prayer with me and I'll do the same for you guys! Thanks and God bless!
