Wednesday forecast for January 27, 2010

Picture brought to you by the weather channel

Today: High of 54 and mostly sunny with clouds moving in by the afternoon

Tonight: Low of 33 with light winds

~Starkville, MS

Goodmorning everyone and thanks for joining me here for yet another Face of the Sky forecast. I hope everyone is having a great day so far enjoying the plenty of sunshine we are having thus far. Last night remained pretty clear for the most with temperatures dropping to the lower 30s. So, its not surprising to wake up to a very cool morning to start your day off. It is refreshing, however, to see the sun out in its full glory with no clouds to hide behind today. Today will not feel as nearly as cold as Monday or Tuesday was with lighten winds and slightly warmer temperatures. High pressure will continue to keep this dry air in place allowing for nice sunny conditions. Highs will get close to the mid 50s with light winds coming out of the south. Even though we are starting off with clear skies, more clouds will be in the sky by the late afternoon hours.

Tonight, a little warmer with lows close to the mid 30s and very light winds. Look for more clouds tonight than in the previous two nights.

For Thursday, a fairly warm day with highs getting close to the 60 degree mark. So, a very warm day in store for us tomorrow as a cold front prepares to swing by on Friday. Now, with this approaching cold front comes some very heavy rain and cold temperatures. Make sure to keep it here as we begin to prepare for a big change in our weather pattern. God bless!
