Wednesday forecast on Jan. 13, 2010

Picture brought to you by the weather channel

Today: High of 46 with winds out of the south at 5 mph

Tonight: Low of 25 with clear skies and light winds

~Starkville, MS

Well, its already much warmer than it has been in the last couple of days with beautiful clear skies to go along with those warmer temps today. Currently, at this hour the temperature is in the mid 30s and for your daytime high it should get up to the mid 40s today.

Today, will be the start of a little warming trend as temperatures will continually rise throughout the week. Even by tomorrow, temperatures should be well off into the 50s. We do have a change in wind direction also as it shifts from the north to the south bringing in warm air out the Gulf of Mexico. High pressure still remains here in the south allowing for dry conditions and beautiful clear skies for your Wednesday afternoon. However, by tonight those temperatures will quickly begin to drop as clear skies will allow for the surface to cool off very rapidly. Temperatures will be around the mid 20s for tonight with light wind. So, it won't be as cold as it has been but you will still need a coat if your going out tonight.

Tomorrow, look for temperatures to be around the mid 50s with clouds coming back into the forecast. Hopefully, we can all thaw out with these warmer temperatures and beautiful weather today as well as the following days. Looking ahead to Saturday, we do have rain returning back into our forecast so enjoy as much of these dry conditions as you can. God bless!
