Good morning to everyone and I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Temperatures were just lovely and conditions were just the same. I must say I certainly had a great weekend especially Saturday. I couldn't have ask for a better day. Saturday also featured a full moon which was named "Supermoon" due to the proximity of it from Earth. Also, this weekend on Sunday marked the official day of spring and we definitely are in the midst of spring conditions although we have not receive any adequate rain recently. High pressure has really been controlling conditions throughout the southern region and no major front has really enter the region. So basically we have been quiet as for as active weather goes and it looks like this dry spell will continue for this past week.

What's Happening Atmospherically
This dry spell will continue throughout the course of this week as high pressure continues to sit over the gulf to the east of Florida. Warm southerly air from the Gulf of Mexico has warmed our region up a bit especially starting yesterday and today. We are seeing temperatures all the way into the mid 80s. So very warm indeed across the south. Now we do have a weak wave that will push through later this evening but it will only serve to bring in more clouds for the evening hours into Wednesday morning. So when will our next chance of rain come?

It looks like Saturday afternoon we could potentially see some storms in our location as we have a bit of a frontal system moving through. For right now, nothing is for sure and it only looks like a slight possibility. Also, there is a line of showers beginning next Monday that looks to give us significant rain. For those of you growing plants and working in gardens, this should provide a glimpse of hope if your looking for rain. The surface analysis chart below depicts significant amount of showers next Monday around the afternoon in Mississippi.Today
Expect highs to be well into the mid 80s in Jackson with mostly sunny conditions. A nice and warm day with southwest winds to cool us off a bit at 10 to 15mph. By tonight, clouds will increase starting late this evening. We'll have a warm night with lows in the lower 60s. Winds will come out of the south at 10mph.

Wednesday
More clouds in the sky for tomorrow but highs will still be in the 80s with windy conditions. We could see wind gust as high as 20mph.

Thanks for visiting your Face of the Sky forecast and God bless!
