Today: 52 with clear skies early but increasing with clouds throughout the day

Tonight: Cloudy and a low of 40

~Starkville, MS

A good Wednesday to you all! I hope you all are having a great day and its probably a bigger day for all you sports fan out there. Today, is the official day of National Signing Day for college recruits. I'm definitely hoping that Mississippi State will get some really good recruits in. Lets go Bulldawgs!

Well, the famous Groundhog saw his shadow on yesterday so you know what that means. Yep, six more weeks of winter. Of course, this is all myth but it's still tradition. However, you can definitely bank on winter coming to an official close by March 21st. This Wednesday morning started off very sunny and clear for us with still lots of sun still pouring through the few clouds we have out currently. Clouds will be on the increase, though, as we have another approaching low pressure system making its way here. The clouds that will be rolling in by this afternoon are ahead of this low pressure and we should receive a good amount of rain here in the Starkville area tomorrow. Look for highs today to get up to the lower 50s with northeast winds of about 5-10 mph. As we head into the evening and night hours, the clear skies you saw this morning will be all cloudy. I don't expect for the rain to make it in by tonight, so if your going to be out late tonight you won't have to worry about those showers being here by then. I wouldn't be surprised to see a low of 40 or right underneath that with the clouds allowing for the night to be relatively mild for us compared to the last three days.

Tomorrow, looks mainly like a washout especially around noontime and afterwards. Thick clouds will start the morning off with heavy showers here by the afternoon hours. Keep the umbrellas in handy. Tomorrow, I'll have more complete details about the incoming rain. Enjoy this partly sunny day and may God continue to bless you!
