Who Dat!! I know this is a weather blog but I have to take the time to congratulate the Saints upon their victory and impressive run to the Super Bowl. It has certainly been a long time coming but they pulled it off. Although, I have to admit that I was going for the Colts but the Saints prove that it was their year to win!
With all that being said, lets move on to more exciting things like weather!lol

Well, we certainly have a very active week ahead of us featuring rain, cold and windy conditions, as well as possibility of snow in the forecast. First, lets start off with the system that's heading our way today. We started the day off with overcast and cloudy skies, but elsewhere at that time in the northern portion of Mississippi, both rain and snow was falling. In the Memphis, TN area snow amounts totaled between 4 to 8 inches of snow this morning! Looks like Punxsutawney(groundhog) was right about 6 more weeks of winter! Now, we have a low pressure system that's situated in Texas right now moving east and should reach our area later tonight. So, for the most part of today expect for cloud conditions to be same with maybe some breaks here and there. It will be hard for temperatures to rise with these heavy clouds conditions. Highs will only be in the lower 40s with southeast winds at 10mph. By tonight, rain should be in our forecast with light showers starting before midnight and heavier rainfall falling afterwards. Lows will not drop much through the period with lows only falling to the upper 30s. Cloudy skies will continue to maintain its stay throughout the night as well.

Tuesday looks to be an interesting day with our high temperature actually starting off in the morning. Temperatures will steadly fall through the day with lingering showers in the morning which could possibly turn into snow. Stay tune for more updates tomorrow. A very cold day tomorrow, so be sure to have on your full winter gear. Our next rain maker will come Thursday and with it comes another chance for some snow. You definitely do not won't to miss out on my weather blogs for the next couple of days. Make sure to keep it here at Face of the Sky forecast for all of your latest weather updates. Thanks for viewing and God bless!
