Tonight: 34 with cloudy conditions

~Starkville, MS

A good Monday to you! Hope you all had a great weekend especially with the weekend filled with beautiful sunny weather! Weather conditions were absolutely perfect this weekend with temperatures in the 60s and mostly sunny skies. I know most of you all are wondering if winter is finally over with. Well, I'm afraid I have bad news! Looks like the weather we had this weekend was only to warm us up as cool weather enters back into our forecast and even the possibility of more snow chances. Yep, thats right snow chances!! So, after going from having temps in the 60s to having another chance at snow. How crazy the weather can be!

Cold drier air will begin to filter back into the south this week dropping temperatures back down into the 40s by mid week. The good news is that we won't really see any heavy rain the early part of the week. Maybe some light showers on Tuesday for the southern portion of Mississippi like in counties such as Hinds, Madison, and Yazoo but nothing significant.

Well, let me take through the next couple of hours. For most of today, we will continue to be under cloudy skies with temperatures approaching the mid 50s today. Most of the rain that we had on last night is out of area, so we won't have to worry about any showers later in the evening. Winds will be out the northwest at 5 to 10 mph. Tonight, lows will be much cooler than Sunday night with temps falling to the lower 30s. Those clouds will continue to stick around with winds still out of the northwest at 5 to 10 mph.

For tomorrow, expect for weather conditions to be similiar to today's with cloudy skies and temps maybe a few degrees lower with highs in the lower 50s. Stay tune to your Face of the Sky forecast and God bless!
